This birthday, I headed West. Yearning for blue skies and freedom, I found just what I needed in Sedona, Arizona. Breathtaking, isn't it?
I conquered my fear of heights and climbed Cathedral Rock.
Three 19-year olds (and their beautiful dog) awaited at the summit. They would be soon graduating from high school and were overflowing with excitement. We chatted, hiked and talked about (what else?!) dating. Much to my surprise, we met another young woman who had recognized me from one of my articles that her mother had sent her.
I could not have asked for a better birthday gift.
The world is abundant with gifts. We often search diligently for that which is right in front of us.
Do you have a hard time finding your suitable match? Are you searching in vain?
Try on something new: Keep your eyes (and heart) open.
Talk to strangers. Ask for help at the grocery store. Smile at the man at the dry cleaners. Ask the woman next to you what she recommends for lunch.
Be cool about it. Do this 3x in the next week. Be open. The world will surprise you.
(Feel free to drop me a line and let me know how it goes!)
P.S. I have got a gift for two lucky winners! In partnership with MantraBand Bracelets, we're giving away two bracelets that say "Choose Love." Simply join School of Love NYC's Facebook page & I will pick two lucky winners at random. Entries must be received by June 30, 2015.
